    Hello,

    im a new Compal HeL80 user from germany. So sorry for my not perfect english.

    I have 2 questions about my notebook. I`ve allready used the search but i didnt find something for me.

    1. I want to install a bluetooth modul. Could someone tell me some good ones?

    2. Is there any chance to get a batterie with a greater performance then the standard one?

    There was a thread on the exact module to get for the HEL80.. ill dig it up and add it after I post this.

    The battery that is standard on Compal HEL80's in North America is a 9 cell battery; it sticks out of the back of the laptop. I don't know what the standard is in Germany, though I imagine its the same..

    The only way to get more performance would be to get a 12 cell battery. I don't believe there is a 12 cell battery for the HEL80. You could try a third party battery supplier, though I do not recommend it.

    Hey thanks,

    in germany we have the 6 cell battery. Can you tell me the name of the 9 cell battery and the price in amarika for it?


    And i found a Bluetooth modul from a toshiba notebook. May it works on the HEL? And what is it for a connector at the bluetooth cable inside the book?

    Can't help you there really.. for my HGL30, the battery model is "BATEL80L9", and since it came standard I dunno what the price for it was. Likewise with the bluetooth.. it came standard on mine, so I never had to plug it in :(

    Ok thx about the information. I found the batterie BATEL80L9 in germany, listed for my hel 80, 130€.

    Now only my bluetooth problem already exist. Did someone know that the standard toshiba modul could have the right connector? Because i can get it on ebay for a low price.

    You should well be able to get them for a low price off of ebay too (the compal ones). I live in Poland so not too far and there is at least 3-4 resellers who offer these bluetooth modules, for real scraps (~10 pounds).
