    Hi all,

I'm quite interested by the impulse from PCMW (and the 700$ rebate :) ) which seems build on the same barebone as the 6224. I read quite a lot of posts here about heating issue and poor build quality for the zepto but what about the Impulse??

So my question is quite simple even if the answer is more complicated:
Is this laptop (impulse) not a good deal? Or some stuff changed between the 6224 and the Impulse?

    Thanks for your answers.

ps : sorry for my poor english :/

The build quality is generally OK, apart from the keyboard. In fact, my 6024W (same chassis) still feels very solid after 11 months.

Perhaps the most important question is whether PCMW got Inventec to debug the BIOS. If not, it contains some annoyances, such as with the fan control.

If the price is right and the warranty is good then you might take the risk. Zepto aren't using Inventec for their next range - their service department have been over-worked.
