    3000 series owners...

How do you feel about your laptop purchase?

Generally satisfied? What type of tasks do you do with it?

What do you feel is it's biggest weakness?

Would you make the same decision again?

I will try answering all your questions.

How do you feel about your laptop purchase?
This would be the best purchase i decided to make. I got mine laptop for 1680 dollars Canadian, with 3 years unlimited warranty. As far as it goes, as long as you get a good working one out of the box you will b set. Usually the problem happens at the first day, so if you check before you decide to stick with a certain one, you are fine. I had to exchange once to get the perfect one. NOw i have absolutly no problem with mine.

Generally satisfied? What type of tasks do you do with it?
you can say i'm completely satisfied with my laptop. It is small and definatly a good defination to mobile. Why get laptop that can't hardly move. I say anythingover 13 inch is not a laptop. if you going ot use a laptop as a desktop why not get a desktop. No offense but desktop is easier to use and upgrade. I usually do powerpoint presentation, and word procession, alot of graphic edition with photoshop, and browsing the internet. i usually underclock my computer becasue the full capcity is not needed.

What do you feel is it's biggest weakness?
the biggest weakness would be the battery life. after changing my voltage to 0.925 (does not affect performance), i can squeeze a bit over 4 hours out of this thing. It is nothing compare to the fujitsu S7000 serious, where u can get 7 hours, but what you expect. if you pay double the money u should expect doulbe the quality, right? 4 hours is enough for me, just buy a powerpad and you can use it for 16 hours, if you are going on the road. so no big deal.

Would you make the same decision again?
I would definatly go for averatec again, but thats after 3 years when my warranty expires. Lol by then way better laptop will b available, but still i will get averatec, after knowing hte quality i get for such a bargain.

i hope those answers helps u

    Xin

I agree with xh_unkown and I am quite satisfied with my 3220-H1. Cost-benefit is incredible, as I paid only 800 bucks for this one at Staples.

Only issue is definitively the very short battery life. I barely pass the 1 hour mark with my notebook. Video subsystem is also very weak, don't even think about playing 3d games with this computer.

Still a great bang for the buck. For ordinary tasks (Internet, email, Spreadsheet etc) it is excellent.

What you dont get over 1 hour! man i know some times that happenes, when it happens go call averatec directly. Because if i dont even change any voltage i get 3 hours for sure. 1 hour that's bad that's bad. Well for hte speakers, it is enough for me because i use in school i dont even turn on the speakers, most of the time i just shout it.

I did. I purchased the av3280hx1 w/xp home. I'm think I'm going to reinstall xp-pro. I'll start playing w/it on my day off saturday and post some comments. The first comment I have is how easy it was to get it up and running and that I cant believe the deal I got. 999.00 after 100.00 rebate at Circuit City! What a bargain!

OK, basically 3250 is the same as the 3220, i'm kind disapointed when i switched my old one for the new one. on the futureshop site they showed a different picture, but when i saw the physicaly thing i feel robbed. OK here is some basic tools u will need for ur computer.

    s2kclt (change setting to 128/128)
CRYSTALCPUid36 (read readme before doing anything, any voltage setting above 1.25 will burn ur computers!!! watch out!! and it doesn't give u a confirmatoin, if you click the wrong thing by accident u r screwed!!! first what u do is check mark the box says confirmation!!! change it to 0.925 it works! no higher than 1.25 once again!!)

ok that's all, if any more question just ask.
