The obvious question would be whether the price points of both Core 2 duo and Core Duo will be the same, for the same speed chip, as the Merom is meant to cost roughly the same, yet be faster.
Also, can anyone shed any light on just how much performance we're talking between the underclocked 375/350 (700) 7600Go on the 2425 and the gaming 6000 series laptops that have 450/375 (750) configuration. The MHz ratings make the higher clocked chips seem a fair bit more powerful, but is this actually true?
Also, the numbers vary compared to the figures on the say German site, can someone clear up (perhaps Morten) on what the true figures are?

Oops forgot to add this but does anyone know if theres a significant performance improvements with the Hitachi 7200rpm, compared to the 5400, as I know theoretically you should get faster read/write and thus faster system performance, especially in stuff like Oblivion or WoW where theres a lot of data to play with, but is the truth so pronounced, is it worth the smaller HD size?

The 7200 rpm's seem significantly faster due to lower latency.....
The Scores on the uk site are 100% correct, but i'll have to get sales to check up on the german ones obviously the should be the same -

Thanks, and just wondered about the MHz scoring on the site, as they seemed different on the other nationalities. Are they meant to be different on the 2 gaming laptops, as one states 400, and the other 450?

the meroms went up on the site recently but were taken back down. I think the merom systems were £35 more expensive than yonahs.......
