    Hey,
I was wondering if I had a QX9300 CPU on the PM45 motherboard in the OCZ would it be better to have 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM or 1066Mhz DDR3 RAM if I wanted to overclock the FSB on the CPU?

i.e. is the 1333Mhz RAM underclocked better or worse than 1066Mhz RAM overclocked?

    Thanks

XMP memory support and adjustable DDR3 voltages are supposed to be implemented in a future bios release. Yes DDR3 1333Mhz will perform better for overclock, once the intel XTU is released you will also have better control over the memory clock.

I am looking forward to the XTU release. Hope they manage to go public before Montevina is obsolete
They've been teasing us for a while now. It's ok tho.. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Do you know if these specific BIOS updates/mods would be adjustable via the BIOS, or would you need the XTU to adjust those parameters, or both?

voltages should be in the bios. but clocks will be through intel from what i understand.

The adjustable voltages were supposed to originally be in the bios with the xmp support. Not sure exactly what is going to be available. The XTU is capable now of making those changes.
