So I'm deciding to add 2 more gigs to my IFL90 and I was wondering what the RAM in it was. Its been a while since I bought the computer, so I'm a little fuzzy on what came with it. I think it was 667 mhz. Does anyone know for sure? I know I didn't get the Corsair or Kingston ones. I got the base memory.

Download CPU-Z and look at the SPD tab -- it gives me very precise information about the RAM. Alternatively, you can just open up the machine and read the part number off the chip (you'll have to open it anyway to install the new module).

Or just open the laptop, is a small cover and you should be able to read it.

If you have 2x1gb, then you'll have to simple replays them, I recommend PQI SoDIMM DDR800, since this have tighter default timings at ddr667 (5-4-4-15).

    Slightly relevant:
If I get a new stick of RAM with faster timings will it work with my old stick of RAM (and will dual channel still work)? Is it legal to mix them like that?

^^ yes but the new one will default to whatever the slowest stick's settings are this includes the timings
