    RECOIL II v EON15-S - 62Wh battery upgrade question

    Does the RECOIL II use the same Tongfang chassis as the EON15-S shown here:

    The reason i ask this is that Origin have confirmed that they have a 62Wh battery for the EON15-S, which obviously sacrifices the 2.5" hard drive bay.

    If this battery could be fitted to the RECOIL II it becomes a very desirable option for me.

    What are peoples thoughts?

    The battery comes from TongFang (technically the battery is a GETAC manufactured part), so it will fit. You need to remove the 2.5" caddy material, but you'd need to speak to the RECOIL manufacturer because it's not just plug and play and you need to take into account warranty, BIOS and so on.

    You will need to purchase the battery through a TongFang reseller, it's made for this laptop.

    Would such battery also work in the 17 inch Recoi II? ( TONGFANG GK7CN6S)

    I am wanting to replace the battery as well with the 60Whr 4 cell version, do we need to reprogram the bios? I thought it was literally taking out the old and replacing it with the new, similar to the desktop. Thanks!
