The discount started last week, so maybe it will allow you to spend more or get more than you first thought...
-
is the discount automattically included though as I have just worked this out now on the UK site. I assume that Online Discount UK-4 is the discount.

+£60 for the T7500 gets a 10% faster CPU, but how much of the time is the CPU running at full speed continuously? However, the CPU is the most difficult / expensive component to upgrade later.
+£26 will get you a single 2GB RAM module so you can add more RAM later. You can get a 1GB stick for around £30 to have 3GB on board, which is almost the limit that 32-bit Windows can handle. However, 3GB RAM runs in asynchronous dual channel and is around 10% slower than 2GB or 4GB.
Yet another option which will speed up overall performance is to go for a faster HDD. Either 7200rpm or the 250GB 5400rpm.

might stick with the 2 x 1gb sticks and 2.2 cpu for now

I looked again and see that you've already got the 7200rpm HDD.
Just avoid getting the fastest CPU. That doesn't give value for money.

Ordered my machine, I went for the 2.2 CPU seems best Value for money, and 2 x 1024 MB Zepto memory. Not hada confirmation email through though which is odd , but maybe they do not send them.

I didn't get an automatic confirmation either. I don't think the system gives them out.
Email ib@zepto... if you want to check that the order went in OK.
