Has anyone else noticed a reappearing scuff mark, approximately in the center of the screen? It seams to be caused by the top edge of the touchpad. Any solutions found yet?

Your best solution is preventative. Get something to put in between when you close the lid, like a microfiber cloth or thin piece of leather.

This sounds like a design flaw to me. I'd contact Averatec and have them replace the LCD free of charge, and see if they can find a solution for this problem. If this goes nowhere, the only thing would be try try Brian's recommendation.

The problem may actually be oil from your hands that has transferred to the LCD.

Try cleaning the LCD with a 50/50 mixture of distilled water and Iso alcohol.

This used to be a common problem on Thinkpads. People thought the screens were scratched, but a proper cleaning solved the issue.
