The other day I opend my Zepto and the left hinge seemd to have broken slighly. I hear a tapping sound when moving the screen back and forth.
I can't tilt the screen to much back or front since it can't hold it's weight anymore.
I do have a replacment zepto I can take parts from but how do I replace the hinges? Any tips or ideas maybe the hinge is fixable?
Anyone?

Well, another coincidence... My 7600 died, internet is full of it. My left hinge has broken - you are the seventh one with the same problem. All short after the warranty ended.
Let it say together: LOW QUALITY!
You have to completely dissect the thing (without a service manual). If the notebook is still under warranty let Zepto do the job. If not, call them and hope they do it for free as a gesture of goodwill.
Chassis base is easy to open: just remove ALL screws, remove the keyboard, be very careful with the ribbon cables, plastic noses on the upper part of the chassis base look like this:
Don't use too much pressure or they will break. I can't tell you how to disassemble the display part, sorry.
Good luck! -
Hi, I got the same problem. But Zepto is no longer existing now! You know where you can get a hinge? Or maybe other laptops using the same?
Replace hinge on Zepto 6214W?
