    c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

Moderate gaming, nothing too demanding, surfing, a bit office stuff.

    6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?

    Yes CS mainly

    160GB

    17) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD-ROM, DVD-CD/RW or DVD-RW drive?

    DVDRW

I've looked at the Rizeon S96S and FL90 and spoken to them about which one is more appropriate. They recommended S96S saying for my gaming needs the nvidia 8600m gs would be enough...I'd like to spend as little as possible...but for £50-60 more I get higher resolution screen, and a better graphics card...but if I dont need it then should i stretch my budget? will it make a difference in the long run? Can I still play some decent games in 2years with the S96S?

The spec I was looking at is:

    Intel T7300 2GHz
    160GB 5400RPm hard drive
    2year warranty
    2GB ram
    Vista Home

well, you can get the s96s with an extended 9-cell battery that should be able to match the ifl90 battery life. anyway, it depends on what kind of gaming you plan on doing....if you do plan on playing some new games in the future, the extra power of the 8600gt should be helpful....though i was somewhat disappointed at the real life benchmarks for the g1p (7700go) vs. the g1s (8600gt). if you just going to play older games, it should be fine to stick with the 8600gs.
