    Robson Turbo memory.

    Hi, i have just formatted my laptop and i realised ( when configuring the bios) that the Turbo memory was not in use. Now i have enebled the Robson Chipset. However how do i know that the driver is installed ?

    I have tried to sarch from the device manager but i don't know what to search for :S

    if there is no device with a ! by it, it sounds like it is already installed.

    You should end up with another ~500MB device under disk drives and your HDD should have a non-volatile cache.

    I think the Turbo Memory is the PCI memory controller.

    Here is
    another relevant thread.

    You will need AHCI and Robson enabled in the BIOS, but those should be OK unless you reset the BIOS. Otherwise works through the steps in that thread.

    It might also be the Unknown device that you have in the device manager :)

    Robson doesn't really do anything. Almost completly useless (paraphrased from someone who works in Intel). It's better to just remove it from your computer (i removed mine).

    TM makes my computer boot much faster. (Readydrive)
    The noticed gain of "Readyboost" is however none or very small.
