    Rock Direct - any info

    Ok I have trawled these forums and others for days now and so am quite clued up on "gaming laptops"...please no desktop comments please!

    First i was looking at AW 9750, sli 8700gt or 7950 gtx all maxed up system.

    Then 8800m gtx cards appeared on my radar and reviews spank other cards.

    I noticed M15x which would be nice even with single card. Problem is shipping time (i need it in next 2 weeks). Also there looked like a lot of flex on screen hinge.

    I lean towards 17 in screen for games and design work, so i would like to wait for m17x, but no sign when that will be available. I have spoken to AW 3 times and still no idea. Also no idea if M9750 will take 8800 gtx cards or when that will be available either.

    SIGH !

    Anyway, I then resorted to Clevo system research. Now it seems a lot of people have Clevo based (sager etc) but in UK I only have a few choices and best seems to be Rock. They are v expensive and not in AW league for design. There are hardly any reviews of rock machines and certainly not latest models.

    Anyway, I am stuck between 2 models and various configs....either

    1) xtreme 770 - X770-T9500-8800 or X770-X9000-8800
    2) Xtreme SL8 - damn even more confusing if quad core is offered.

    Basically 770 is more "portable" but sl8 is a true beast. I don't think much out there can match it. However, i just don't know what i should get!! Gaming is priority. Also heat is a concern. I doubt battery on either is great but on SL8 must be terrible.

    Anyway is it worth me getting SL8 or should i get 770 and then get AW m17x when sli is more reliable / available later in year?

    oh i have so many more qs but forst things forst are Rock any good?????
