    Hi

I got a IFL90 with a 8600GT 512Mb and i'm having huge trouble switching the S-Video on, i tried lot's of different driver version, from the latest nvidia with modified inf to the given by compal passing trough the laptopvideo2go stable version, and none seems to work properly, some even worked 1 day and didn't the next, till i get to a point when i turn the S-Video on and the laptop screen goes black (but with backlight on) and freezing all windows forcing me to a hard shutdown, after witch i can only enter the OS using safemode or VGA mode.
Btw i'm using Windows Xp Pro Corporate SP2 with all windows updates.

So i was wondering if someone ever had the same problem.

My guess is that the S-Video is damaged or even the GFX card.

    Regards

You may want to contact your reseller's technical support, but one common problem with S-Video connections that our own support team has encountered is that there can be issues with proper S-Video output detection if the cable is hooked up after turning on the notebook.

Have you tried hooking everything up the way you want it BEFORE turning on the power to the notebook? Generally, the notebook will even go so far as to auto-detect your S-Video output when it is hooked up before powering on.

If that doesn't work, I would definitely check with your tech support to see about other solutions or to arrange repairs.
