My 6324W should arrive next week. I plan on using a memory card in the built in card slot for the readyboost feature in Vista.
I'm not 100% sure if SDHC is suppose to be faster than SD but but atleast it will support higher capacity(hence the name: High Capacity). So does the 6324W card reader support SDHC or will it possibly do it in the future with updates?
Anybody tried using readyboost, especially with a memory card?

My 6024W does not support SDHC. I don't think the 6324W will be any better. SDHC cards have a speed classification. I think the fastest is class 6.
I would recommend that you look for a fast SD card. 2GB may be sufficient. ReadyBoost's potential speed lies with accessing small files quickly. The data transfer rate for any of the SD cards is significantly slower than the HDD.
I have not tried ReadyBoost on my 6024W (I have installed Turbo Memory instead), but when I previously tried it on another notebook the only obvious improvement I noticed was for battery time when playing a DVD (I think Vista was caching the DVD onto the SD card and reducing the optical drive activity). However, ReadyBoost must help under certain conditions. It's just they are difficult to measure.

John, actually my 6324W wil also have turbo memory.. However I have a decease.. The I-want-every-possible-app-I-might-use-at-any-given-time-open decease. And at the same time I do some filesharing on my poor little laptop drive. I need/want to have the filesharing on the laptop, so no NAS or other computer solution for me.
Thats why I like the idea of readyboost. It may even be faster than my HD for the simple fact that the sd card isn't reading writing files all (most) of the time.. -
Any Zepto official that can say if SDHC support can and/or will be implemented with an update?

It is possible that SDHC support is a driver matter. I know from experience that the Ricoh card reader used by Samsung supports SDHC under vista but not under XP.
I believe that ReadyBoost will only work on one device at a time. There's a comment here. So if you have Turbo Memory a separate card will not work. I've just tried an SD card. Vista offered to use it for ReadyBoost when the card was inserted but the came up with a message "A cache already exists on J: Please remove the cache from that device before creating a cache on this device." What is confusing is that J: is the freshly formatted SD card, but perhaps Vista couldn't think of any other letter to use for the Turbo Memory.
Also read Anandtech's analysis of Turbo Memory, if you haven't already seen it.

The user stallen here at NBR is using a 4GB SDHC Sandisk Extreme III for readyboost on this Lenovo T61 & he has 1gb turbo memory on his computer.

That's where I got the idea and also why I asked if my Zepto will support SDHC..
