I just received my Sager 2092 today and everything is great aside from one thing: I really dislike the touchpad clicking something every time I touch it. I checked in the mouse settings and there was no way to disable this. So my question is: Does anyone know how to disable the touchpad tap to click?

I don't understand the noise: is it physical, or coming out from your speaker/headphones?

Not that kind of clicking, I meant the action not the sound. I slightly touch the touchpad and it clicks thing on screen, and I want to disable it.

Make sure the Elantech/KTP Ware software is installed in your program list in Control Panel. If it was and was working correctly, then when you go to the Mouse section in Control Panel there should be extra tabs there, including one labeled Touchpad. Under that tab is a checkbox to Enable double-tapping. It might not hurt to download the latest Elantech driver from Sagernotebooks.com, install it, reboot, and then look in Mouse again.

The Mouse section should look something like this:

Note that mine is greyed out because I have a Synaptic touchpad. Also, this is from Windows XP, but it should look quite similar on Vista.

Thanks that worked. I didn't realize the software wasn't already installed on my system.

Heh??? I didn't know you could triple finger click. Guess you learn something new every day. It even works with the stock vista driver....

"triple finger click"? Sounds like a dirty gesture!

"He cut me so I gave him the triple finger click!"

    Khrono,

Post back other stuff that you find annoying about the 2092.
