    Hey guys,

I just bought my Sager 2098 recently from XOTICPC.com and when i got it, everything worked perfectly fine except for the WLAN/BT "ON/OFF" switch.
The switch only turns BT on and off, but doesnt effect WLAN at all. However, my wireless internet works perfectly fine on it...its just a bit inconvenient to have to turn it on/off with the windows vista mobility utility or w/e it is.
Also, the "wireless switch" program that came in the ProgramDJ utility only sees bluetooth when i open it up, as opposed to both bluetooth and WLAN (like it showed in the picture in the PDF manual)

Has anyone else had a similar problem?? If so did you fix it, and how??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's the wireless drivers, did you remove the Intel Wireless software ? For my laptop, the Wireless switch stopped working when I uninstalled that piece of software (and kept the drivers of course)

sorry for bumping and old(er) thread, but it looks like no one's posted an answer to this question.

you can try moving the wireless card to the bottom port on the mobo. apparently, that port works better. you have to remove the metal bracket thing in order to do so, though.

switching ports also fixed other problems i was having with the wireless, out of the box i had random lag spikes every few minutes. now that the card's in the bottom port, everything is more or less better.

EDIT: you can look through the poorly translated manual on the driver cd for information on the compal applications. personally, i have none of them installed, though i may try the face recognition app just to see how it works.
