So, my old battery wasn't able to hold that much of a charge anymore after a year and I've been just running it mostly on AC power since then. I finally got around to order a battery that I believed should have worked.

My original battery says it is a BATEL80L9, 11.1V and 7200mAh.

I ordered a new BATEL80L6, 11.1V, 6600 mAh off of eBay from a supplier from Hong Kong. I had done some google-ling to see if it was compatible with my IFL92/NP2092 which said it was compatible. I placed the order and two weeks later I received my battery.

The battery says it's a A33-Z96, +11.1V 7800mAh. I stick it in, let it sit for an hour with the AC while noticing that my battery LED indicator is flashing orange, not the usual blue. I boot it up (with the AC adapter) and it loads to my desktop. I quickly check the battery status and it says it is at 3%, plugged in, not charging. Shortly after, my laptop just turns off. I tried booting it again without my AC adapter, and this times it just says 0% and then shortly turns off. I try this several more times but with no success.

Maybe I ordered the wrong battery? I googled A33-Z96 IFL92 and the first result says they are compatible.

Did I get a faulty battery or is the battery I ordered just not compatible with my model?

    Thanks for the help.

I had this very same thing (being at 3%, never reloading) with a new battery for my FL90. I returned it, end of story.

Interesting that this happens so often ...

As for resolving: these guys told me I should unplug it from the power, and reboot to bios (no full boot, as this ruins spinning hard drive!) as long as the battery has any life (that takes a while), then replug power with laptop turned off. Totally stupid in my opinion, as it may damage battery if unloaded by more than 95%, but I tried - to no avail.

    Good luck to you guys!
