I find that this laptop is a great value:

I'm kind of worried about the build quality, heat management, battery life, and quality of the screen. The exterior looks like cheap plastic, but I can't tell for sure.

Any owners out there care to share their experience with this laptop?
    Performance? Quality? Durability/Reliability?

How ate the thermals on this? After all, it is running some high end components. My former laptop was a T61p w/ Quadro 570m and ran quiet cool...until it spontaneously died one day =[.

I've been trying to find some reviews, but they seem pretty scarce. A video review would be nice.

    THANKS!

It's an otherwise decent laptop marred by an awful display resolution.

Is the screen resolution really that awful or are you people just overreacting?

Tea...I would prefer a larger display resolution. 1366x768 is somewhat on the small end.

I guess I've been spoiled by the 1920 x 1200 resolution on my previous laptop.

I think it's pretty awful. First, it is quite low for a 15" laptop -- this was fine a couple of years ago, but nowadays most 13-inchers have resolution of this order. Second, it's actually worse than the old 1280x800: most applications take up vertical space with various tool and status bars so its loss is felt more than the gain of extra horizontal space (which there is already plenty of on a 16:10 display). You can try torturing them into not doing this (e.g. get rid of bars that you don't use or try making them run down the sides rather than the top and bottom of the screen), but this makes the experience feel unnatural, particularly since the displays at work are 1280x1024.
