Hello all, the line of Sonoma/Alvisio-based Samsung products have caught my eye. One problem, though, they're impossible to find?!?

In particular I was looking at the X50 - but the X20 or X25 would do nicely. ;) While I'm looking to buy a notebook soon, I'm in Canada and will be going to Australia in the next month or so. I'm thinking that the Samsung products may be more abundant overseas but surely prices will also be higher?

Does anyone know where I could pick up one of these fantastically-spec'd machines?

    thanks :)

Samsung makes a nice product and as you've found, they're nowhere to be bought in the States and apparantly not in Canada either. They're quite available in Europe from what I understand.

Lapboy, those two links aren't for alvisio-based machines, tho? They're just the P25, etc. Am I missing something? :)

Maybe I will have to wait until Aussie. :(

haha, yeah, I was drooling over those specs earlier this eve'. ;D

hey man, thanks so much for chiming in. I guess I'll have to wait a little to get ahold of one. See the pricing, though? $3300+ (euros)!! Absolutely insane. I thought the Vaios were pricey! :D

thanks for peeking at this thread again. I'm thinking I may have to take a peek at the Dell 610 if I want to get ahold of one of these sonoma/alvisio puppies in the next month or so. The tears are already falling... ;)

im also looking to get an X50, and i'll prob wait for it's release in the UK and get my friend to send one over to me. I have seen it on the germany site too and the price is ridiculous, but on that same site the price for the x30 is also alot higher than the uk price w/ the same specs so i'm thinking they have really high taxes in germany.

BTW you can get the X30 through import at http://www.dynamism.com but it would be cheaper just to get someone in the UK to send one over
