I've got parts from three laptops that use the XP-M socket A CPU's. I'm trying to take the best parts to make one really solid machine.

I'm curious if I could but an extra 2800+ I have in my 3200 laptop.

    It currently has a 2000+.

This is just as simple as swapping the CPU's right?

Just making sure this will work. I'm assuming if the CPU's are the same "Barton" core and 462 socket, they should be inter changable in a given motherboard, right?

Someone help educate a newbie, and thanks!

Your CPU is AMD 2000+ AXMS2000GXS4C, which is socket 563, is not the same as Socket A.
