Hi, I consider buying a Whitebook. Ive been looking at the OCZ FORCE EXTREME 840.

    1.Noise
How much noise does this machine make with 2 x HD3870 ?
I really want to find a notebook that is as quiet as possible - without any fan going on and off all the time.

    2.Reviews
I have tried finding some reviews of it - only found one. Could someone please tell me of any reviews?

    3.Warranty
Anyone now how it will work out with warranty etc. if I buy the machine in the US(xoticpc.com eg.), and then move to Europe?

    thx for any replies!

From what I've heard, seen, and read, the Noise it makes is minimal during everyday browsing, but like every other laptop, the fans kick in during gaming and intense cooling needs. However, the sound of the program or music easily drowns out the fan noise. I'm pretty sure you can use the Fn key combos to put the fan on normal and high. But if you expect the fan to not be noisy when using intense applications, you're sorely mistaken...

Guruofgaming.com forums have some reviews and comments on it

There's also a CNET review of the Alienware m17 (Which is built on the Whitebook Chassis)

Most Resellers offer their own warranties, varying in coverage, so research it, don't be afraid to send an email. From what I've heard Mark at K|N and Justin at Xotic both offer excellent Customer Care, and would answer any specific questions you may have about the warranty.

Good Luck on configuring your beast.
