    I own a Compal FL90 with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8 GHz) and Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit. I'm using the power scheme aimed at maximum powersavings, but nevertheless the core speed never drops below 1.6 GHz.
    --> screenshot CPU-Z

    The power scheme states that the core speed should never exceed 50% of the full capabilities of the cpu.
    --> screenshot power scheme; I'm using a Dutch version of Windows, but you should be able to understand it (op accu = battery, netstroom = wall outlet)
    I tried several third party programs (RM Clock, NHC, SpeedswitchXP) to manually lower the core speed, but none of them work in Vista 64bit.

    How do I solve this problem?

    CPU-Z 1.41 doesn't show dynamic FSB change for T7x00 series CPU's.
    Use v1.40 which works OK!

    You're right. CPU-Z v1.40 displays the correct core speed (800 MHz).
