Well, i got my HEL80 from milestonepc almost 2 weeks ago and it's been great - except for a very random and annoying issue. It decides that it is going to turn off my screen, then refuses to reboot when i press the power button - if i want to start my computer again it takes about 6 tries to even get the **** thing to boot, meaning the screen is off the entire time. Went through all the normal steps - virus scan, adware scan, bios update (to 103b) - have updated some of the drivers but not all of them yet. The thing that really ticked me off was yesterday, when i pushed the eject button on the DVD drive it did it's thing, and even now it still refuses to boot up, leading me to suspect the dvd drive as the problem. I don't really have time to take it back to the dealer and get them to fix it (last resort), any thoughts?

Definitely give milstonepc's tech support a call. Perhaps they can troubleshoot from there.

Perhaps a clean software install might help--but I'm only guessing.
