Hi all,
I have been looking for a portable gaming laptop and the zepto 6224W looks the best for me.![]()
I was wondering why zepto are not allowing you to upgrade the processor on the 6224W from T7250 to T7500?
Is it because of the problems with the bios?
I noticed that on the 6625WD you can upgrade from the T7250 to T7500 for just £20 which is definetly worth it!
If you can upgrade on the 6625WD why not on the 6224W?
Thanks![]()

I previously understood that the BIOS provided ex-factory with the 6x24W series only supports up to the T7300. Therefore Zepto would need to install a slower CPU, update the BIOS and then change the CPU. This slowed down the assembly process so the faster CPU options were dropped.
However, with the latest refresh in Intel's CPU range, having the T7250 as the highest CPU option in this series no longer appears reasonable.

Thanks for your replies. It is a shame that its not an option anymore.
I have decided to order it with the t7250 anyway, I dont think it will make too much of a difference and the price is very good. I dont see any other 14" laptops in the UK with a 8600GT.
