Hello,
I cannot activate & enable my TPM of my HEL 80i. It is just activated and disabled. In the Infineon program I get the the error "failure mode 2". This program suggests to restart and follow on-screen instructions, but there aren't anyone...
Anybody has a solution?
Regards,
Dick Driessen

Have you enabled it in the BIOS?
-
Hello,
Sorry for the late response. Well, it is enabled and deactivated in the BIOS. The problem is, when I choose enable & activate in the BIOS, and I restart the laptop, the status is still enabled and deactivated.
Quiet strange and frustrating... -

I recommend that you call your Customer Service so that they can get you going properly, or bring your laptop back to the factory for repair.

I have done so, they are working on it. Do you have an idea what it could mean?

You have done what? Called support or sent it back in for repair?
If you mean called support and they say they are working on it that means they probably have escalated it to the factory technicians and are waiting for some suggestions from them.

I seem to have the same, or at least a similar problem.
when I go into the bios to activate it, then when I reboot the computer locks itself when it starts to load [whatever it loads before it loads windows]. So I have to unplug my battery, take out the power cord and plug the power back in again. Now when I boot the computer gives me the option to either continue as usual or go into bios. If I continue all is good, but tpm is set to "activated & disabled" in the bios. However, back in vista it keeps telling me tpm is disabled, so I can't use it.
I did contact support, but that was at a early stage where my computer was in a locked state and he told me about the battery\power cord trick. When I could use the computer I was happy and did not ask anymore. Guess I could call the, but it's easter and they won't be there for a few days I suppose so trying my luck here first -
