TV Tuner not Working

Hi,

I got my Zepto laptop two days ago and i have to say i'm really satisfied with the product. But i've got one little problem - the tv tuner won't work. I tried to install the drivers that were on the CD but they didn't work and they crashed the LifeView program. Then i downloaded the drivers from the website and Windows recognized the TV tuner as DTV-DVB UDTT 7047M-USB 2.0 DVB-T Driver but still, when the software DigitalTV is started (the one included with the online drivers), the signal strenght remains 50% and the quality is 0%. Same happens with ProgDVB.

I read that this is a driver issue and that providing the correct drivers will solve this issue. Can you send me the right drivers please?

3 months ago I got 6625WD I got cables aerial etc, but Zepto forgot to install the card. So it not possible for it to work. I took the view they can retro fit if it ever goes back. A minor irritation for me.

 

anyone from the Zepto team can help me?

 

Uninstall everything that have with LifeView to do, it's not that card you have in the machine.
Go to ftp.zepto.dk and download the Zmore driver for your model and operating system and install that.
When you'r done, you should be able to use the TV-tuner in Windows Media Center.

 

i tried that but it didn't work. the signal strenght still remains at 50% with a quality of 0%

I have exactly the same problem, try with the EasyView from the cd, "cannot init driver", try with the DigitalTV from the ftp, same error... I of course deinstall everything, reinstall (driver)...

Help ?

 

you run it as administrator right?

yes, i try again now as administrator, and it does not change anything.... symptoms are the same they are for jbonello.

I'm using windows vista 32 bits home premium...

maybe installing and running as administor has done something, find 11 program TV !!

it has to do with th fact when you ru the program as normal user, the OS wont give access to hardware components directy, wich the driver needs to have when it gets installed. Also, only administrators can edit system files, wich the driver will do

so run only in administrator mode.... not really usefull... does not work in media center, normal ?

here is the answer !!! It works with Windows Media Center, and better than with digitalTV... run as Administrator..

i'm going to cry.... Works as administrator with everything (media center, digital tv), I go to sleep, computer in sleep mode, turn on, nothing work any more. Maybe the sleep mode does not reactivate the card, so I reboot, same thing, try to redetect channel, no channel detected as for the first time... do I have to desinstall reinstall everyday ???
I think I'm going to give up with that and send it back to zepto to remove that tuner thing...

 

You run all applications as administrator? Right click and select 'run as administrator'

Uninstall all (digital-tv then device and driver)
reinstall

Works as administrator, Windows Update want to update the driver, maybe he is responsable, updating to wrong driver...
But why is there wrong driver ???

..

 

okay, so here is the end for me, things works now, windows update is the devil for this driver DO NOT UPDATE !!!

works in user mode too ...

I'm glad to hear that you managed to get this sorted. This thread is a valuable resource for others. Perhaps Zepto should give better guidance in a ReadMe file with the driver.

I had a similar hassle getting a Freecom USB DTV tuner working with Vista.

Yeah windows update is pretty stupid sometimes, I once installed a update wich supposed to be some service pack for some framework, but it made my hibernating go nuts

 

tried all the solutions mentioned here but none of them worked for me. i uninstalled the software then the drivers, restarted, reinstalled the driver alone and tried with a ProgDVB running as administrator which didn't work (signal strenght still 50% and quality 0%), installed DigitalTV and ran it as Administrator which didn't solve the problem. Then i installed a driver from another company which has a 7047M chipset (to check wheater I have the correct driver) which caused an error (= i had been installing the right driver).

I reinstalled the correct driver after uninstalling the non-working one and still the same problem again. What can I do? Can somebody from Zepto do a Remote Assistance?

sorry that nothing help you, but for information, the tv tuner does not work after sleep mode.... must shutdown/restart windows for the tuner to wake up...

 

none of this worked for me either
