This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    My HEL was ordered this weekend on the premise that it would be paid for by a school program (wife's a research coordinator at University of Louisville). Well, I jumped the gun, and the dates would have preceded what Xotic's build date would show. Basically, I wouldn't get the school money for the machine. A simple phone call to Xotic (I think I talked to Justin?) had that situation ironed out in a few minutes. Nice folks, easy to talk to. I'll update this when my build is done.

    To throw my 2 cents in: Other then a small hiccup my experince with Xotic was great. I love my HEL80 and the skin that Justin put on it looks great. I look forward to doing buisness with them again.

    I have heard a lot of good things about Xoltic PC, now how efficent are they with Canadian customers like myself and a lot of other people on the forum?

    Check that. He just e-mailed me. It IS shipping today. With upgraded shipping. There has only been one other company that I have received this kind of service from (Elemental Designs audio- if anyone cares). I shall review when it gets here.

    Machine is here and Winblows is installing. Nice and smooth. I like it so far. I need to sleep, though, so I won't get to play much until after dinner tonight (battery will be charged then, anyway).
