Had a small problem with my new 6625WD.

They took it back and fixed it within 7 days. They picked it up via UPS and deliverly back all working safe and sound.

I would like to express my thanks to them. The guy I spoke to from the UK is Ian
    and was a great help.

Anyone looking for a laptop I would recommend Zepto.

Now if only every CS department was like this company.... :D

That's good news. :) It looks like Zepto's remodelling of their service dept is producing benefits. A few months back notebooks were taking several weeks to get fixed.

I would have gone with a 6625wd is it weren't for the cheap keyboard..

An excellent description which also applies to the 6x24W series. Maybe Zepto think we need to strengthen our fingers!

I suspect the perception of cheapness has come from the recent thread about the cost of a keyboard. In reality Zepto is just not taking a big margin on a spare keyboard. The price is close to the true cost and that cost would be much the came for a keyboard with a softer action. Earlier this year I bought a small external keyboard with a very good action for US$9.

I'm not sure what your point is. But I tried a 6x25wd in a shop the other day, and the keyboard was really poor.

    Sorry John,

but I agree with Zagnut, it may similarly priced to quality keyboards, but
the keyboard quality itself can (to me) only be desribed as cheap.

Maybe it's just me, but even if I made inexpensive laptops, the keyboard
should still have a certain level of professional craftsmanship as it's the
primary (most likely) tool for accessing your computer. It seems to be
the wrong area to cut corners... if you're so inclined :)

But that's just me, I like a nice keyboard that isn't as loud as the computer's
    fan... er.... wait a sec...
