Here's what I thought to be an unusual find, after purchasing and
setting up a docking station for one of our 6625wd laptops, the
keyboard's responsiveness actually improved! It felt more solid
and less clunky! I no longer have to 'punch' the keys to get a
result.
As I understand, in order to remove the keyboard you have to
open up the underside panel where screws keep it locked in
place. Perhaps one of the reasons why some of us are unhappy
with this laptops keyboard is these screws aren't quite tightened
enough?
Thoughts welcome!

Quite wierd that the docking station improved that

That's what I thought, so I could only surmise it was the pressure
exerted from below that's causing this. I can say the difference
is very noticeable, at least a 30% improvement over before. -

Interesting.
Does the docking station make the keyboard more inclined? My 6024W's keyboard is well held down with tight screws and sticky tape under the keyboard but I still get missing characters when I don't punch the keyboard hard enough. I've got used to the other problems of the notebook (or they have gone away) but the keyboard remains an annoyance. It must have been designed for people used to manual typewriters.

Yes, the docking station is almost like putting a small book underneath
to allow airflow, only the pressure or contact point is more concentrated.
It's unfortunately difficult to get a clear picture of it, otherwise I'd add one.
The laptop is now at about a 10-15 degree angle to it's original flat 0
degree angle.
I can say this, the keyboard is 'overall' more responsive but some keys
are still 'sticky' or more 'unresponsive' than others. -

It's worth noting, the keyboard's performance doesn't improve if you just
'lay' your laptop on the docking station. It only improves if you're able to
fully dock or 'snap' the laptop into the docking station.
I know myself and another user are not able to 'snap' or laptops into the
docking station unless you really press down hard (bad idea) or in my case,
flip the entire rig over and then it snaps into place (another bad idea). -

Since having the keyboard replaced and the docking station worked on,
there doesn't appear to be as much difference as before. Though there
is still a difference.
The 6625wd's keyboard is better with a docking station.
