You'd think some one that realizes how important his work and data is, would take the small amount of time to backup his work and data so, if the circumstances arises where his laptop needs to be repaired, he does not lose his work/data.
How can some one with such crucial work and data for his company not have backups or an alternate laptop/desktop to work with. Wouldn't such an important person, such as yourself Toobster, be given an alternate laptop/desktop to work with since if you are unable to work, would cost the company infinite amount of money?![]()

I have been blessed with functioning hardware in the past (atleast my last 4 laptops never needed repair) so going for a brand with smaller market share and no local precence (I live/work in Stockholm, capital of Sweden) didn't concern me earlier. -
-
Well, good thing I went with Alienware. The M17 is simply the best laptop I've ever had and it is a perfect desktop replacement.

Baserk, apparently it need to be flashed from some kind of USB drive that needs to be prepared in a special way to be able to flash it correctly, and if not done the right way you have a very expensive brick of a laptop afterwards. It's the system BIOS, has nothing to do with the GFX.
One of my friends had it done and it took 3 work days in Zeptos repair shop (we are from Denmark, so we handed it in personally), but it has also been running perfectly after that. Before it was randomly freezing up. Since the update it has been behaving as an A+ studentNo hickups, nothing, just running as it should.

Never heard of 'special USB BIOS flash' before, thankfully I've only needed an empty CD-R/W.
Thanks for the answer. -
Baserk, never had I, but apparently it can't be updated via CD.

Haven't yet had any problems with stuttering, w-lan et cetera. Running Win 7 x64 by the way.
Does anybody know which BIOS version is working and which doesn't? Just wanna confirm -
I spoke with Zepto support today. They are trying to work out a solution with USB-sticks that are sent ut with a BIOS update but they haven't got there yet so until further, sending the laptops to Denmark is the only solution. They signed me up on a list for the USB-stick when that solution works.

My BIOS version, everything seems to work.

someone should let those guys know that system was released by everyone else over a year ago
-
My laptop buggz out alot and perphaps because my BIOS version is older than yours:
BIOS: 100.06aZC -
-
I hope the BIOS upgrade does it. -
ECyde, well actually it's not the M570TU, but the M571TU which is from last year.
Toobster you have BIOS 1.00. 06aZC and mr_hast has BIOS 1.00. 12ZC, which means there are 6 BIOS updates between thetwo machine. That can have fixed a lot of issues. -
what is the latest bios for this machine, and where I can found it?
thanks! -
You can check it from their ftp server: ftp.zepto.dk
You'll have to use IE for the site to work as intended. Then just navigate into your model's folder. -
Well Zepto has never released the BIOS online as it has to be updated via some kind of specially set up USB stick.
At least that's what I was told by a friend of mine who bought one and dropped by Zepto HQ to get it updated while he waited. That was in January of this year -
anyone tried to put in the hydra ram at 1333mhz?
I'd like to try -
I have some random locks up with my Hydra A17. Just got the new vga few months ago. But the problem still occurs, and i can't find any new bios on Hydra, and its seems you have the lastest bios. Can you make a dump of the bios of your Hydra a17 and upload it to me?
Thanks in advanced.
