I really cannot know, the best choice would be asking ATI personally, anything said from anyone else could be open to doubt, discussion and arguing.

A theory would be that their drivers have the correct D3DO configuration for 3DMark 06, but not for newer programs / 3DMark Vantage.

Sorry about going all paragraph at you, I am just kinda, well, paranoid.

I agree to an extent, some people have, but some people have not, but a healthy competition would be where people would post their benchmark and in-game results for informative and fair-competition results only, I only post my scores for informative purposes, so that the people who think about buying a OCZ Whitebook / Nagamaki, a Clevo D901C / Sager NP9262 or any other laptop get more information about how do they stand to each other, and a bit of information about what might be coming in the future for either laptop.

*imitates Portal's turret*: "No hard feelings." :)

    easy my friend...

here is one here is a test ran.... and yes it's flubbed.

now it's score is technically 1k behind on both. why you ask? because my cpu is not over clocked. it's just my gpus doing all the work. not both. if i we're to over clock my cpu...i would gain 1k plus on both scores.

now look at this guys score....

you think you can catch this guy?

the ocz is a wonderful machine..i just wish it took gtx's is all or came with the 4800's instead of the 3800's (personal opinion is all) 4800 may out do the gtx's and they should come with 1 gig memory per card. which would help out allot in higher resolution. (more speculation)

Sadly, I do not have Far Cry 2 and I got no spare money to purchase it (still waiting for my house in my old hometown to be sold), I would be happy to run a few benchmarks with Stock and Overclocked configurations on Ultra High / 1920x1200 if I did, I will do a cumulative testing thread (been promising this ever since I bought it, but since the laptop has an issue with PowerMizer that I just found a fix for, I have just started benchmarking it) for my laptop when I get the most popular games / programs for benchmarking (Games would be Far Cry 2 and Crysis).

However, today I posted my 3DMark Scores at the 3DMark 06 Thread in the Sager Forums:

I don't get it. your cpu score is already higher than his. How can you say that he is gaining higher scores due to his cpu? overclocking the cpu increases gpu score and not the cpu score??

That would work but it would be nice to have 2 thread one for discussing tweaks etc the other for implemnetation then a second thread with just the Benchmakr scores uner your name so basically everyone involved just edits thier post and adds scores.

ADDED would like to see it by request only for the poeple allowed in too...in a perfect world lol

See I guess Im kinda Lucky because Mark built the Overclock database for us to be able to easily test specs that are working well with other KN customers has hundreds and hundreds of entires.

pretty much so.... all you have to do is run your stock verses your over clock and you will understand.

let me run a test for ya...i thought i had one but i cant find it... give me about 15 minutes. this one will have slightly higher 2.0 and 3.0 scores.

I guess there is really no easy way to tell, unless the results were posted at ORB and a screenshot of the configuration that was used in the benchmark (it shows up in ORB) was taken.

That would be a really nice feature to have, but sadly, I do not see it happening, I do not know why.

Okay, not to brag, or anything else, but since I am glad for having achieved this, and I spent the whole afternoon and night flashing and re-flashing my cards' VBIOS over and over, trying different clocks, I reached the max clocks my 8800m GTX's can reach, 650 MHz Core Speed, 1650 MHz Shader Speed and 1050 MHz Memory Speed, look at the results I got:

For comparative results only, not to show off.

alitunay, 3dmark is only the benchmark program so you have higher 3dmark it doesn't mean you better in game.

Why is your 3dmark score so low? The xps m1730 with x9000 I had pulled 14600 at the same settings. Overall you have a very nice system.

That is why I have been asking why 9800gtx can not perform better on the 3dmark06. Think it as a game and xfire beats sli in this game but why?

I see John's point. So when you have a weaker cpu with all settings being same you get higher gpu scores. Then why the heal E has been pushing the cpu to overclock more. Especially if xfire does not overclock at all.

xfire does over clock and everyone is trying to get to 3.5 ghz because intel got their chip to 3.5 ghz... if all intel could get was 3.1 then everyone would have stopped by now...

3dmark06 is not a game. It will never be a game - its a synthetic benchmark. And nobody gives a ... about it unless u re a ocz-bot cause thats the only thing u can do. Get an erection when u reach 17.000ptk. please finally understand that 3dmark does not and will not never represent real world gaming performance - its physically impossible.
