Hi, I'm new round here, but have been reading around the forums for a few weeks now. So, I'm needing a new laptop this summer and am looking to buy one at the start of August. After much research I'm tentatively settled on the 6024W (If I were to buy today) which would seem to meet my needs very nicely.

The config I'm looking at is:
    T7300 2.0 GHz,
    2gb ram,
    120 gig 5400 hard drive,
    Intel AGN wifi,
No OS (I plan to install XP Pro - and maybe linux - myself)

But I'm a bit confused by the optical drive options. Would anyone be able to expand a bit on what type of drive the "SAMSUNG COMBO 6xx4w/6xx5WD/2xx5W" is?

As I've read here, there are some issues with the updating of the UK site. I understand from searching the forum, that an AC adapter is included, but it could be made clearer on their site when you're buying.

Also, when I click on more infomation about the Zepto sleeve M, it says the max display size is 14 inch, but it doesn't list any of the 6*24 laptops.
Can anyone confim that it would fit the 6024, and if it's even worth buying, or does one come included anyway (like the ac adapter) and it's just not made clear ???

Lots of questions, I know! But you seem like a knowledgeable bunch - Hope you can help me out and reassure me that buying a zepto is a wise move.

    Cheers

The Samsung combo drive reads DVDs and writes basic CDs.

AC adapter is included, and i think that the sleeve fits 6024, but it doesn't come for free.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for that info Thorne.
The sleeve doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment anyway.

Do the touchpads on zepto laptops have a scroll area on them?

Yeah, they do. It's just the very right rear of the touchpad, works fine on XP after installing touchpad drivers from Zepto's ftp.

Ok, cheers for that. Was worried I wouldn't be able to scoll without using a mouse (but I plan to get one for heavy use anyway).
