    Hey guys,

It's time for me to upgrade my computers at home and since I'm not at home much. I have decided to buy a laptop that I can take to work and use for fun at home.

After looking around I' am thinking of buying one of the new Zepto laptops. The 6625WD to be exact and I wonder if you guys who have Zepto computer could give me some pros and cons on them?

Since Zepto is new in Australia. I'd like to find out what the build quality is like, warranty and any pros/cons (horror stories) that the Zepto laptops might have.

Also, I realize that the 6625WD doesn't come with DVI and only has a VGA output. Could anyone tell me how much would I be disadvantaged? Since I' am planning on hooking the laptop up to a ~20" LCD while I'm at home.

Anyways, really appreciate any help you guys can give me. :)

DVI would be better. Does your LCD have a VGA port? The pictuer would be a bit better with DVI but VGA should be ok too. What resolution is this?

    Hey Wave,

If I do get the 6625WD. I' planning on teaming it up with a SAMSUNG 20" 204B for work and play at home.

I'd like to preferably get the full 1600 x 1200 out of the monitor through the VGA slot.

Now, I wonder if that would be possible and how much of quality loss would I experience.

    Cheers for the help mate,
    - SyKO

I have a 19" 1400x900 widescreen connected to my znote 6214W without any problems. I think 20" should be ok too

My experience with Zepto is mostly positive.

    The negative:
    - The computer I bought did break several time during the year or so I had it.
    The positive:
    - Zepto repaired the computer each time without any hazzle, and within fair time (except for once).
    - In the end they accepted to give me a new computer because the one I bought had been repaired so many times. (I chose to get the newer model 6625 and am now awaiting it!)

I think I was just unlucky with my computer. Several of my friends have Zepto computers and there's only been none or minor problems with any of them.
Even though my computer broke so many times, I count my experience as positive because Zepto has handled the repairs well.

    Cheers for that mate. :)

On each occasion that your laptop did break mate. How long did it take Zepto to repair the unit on average?

Hmm... some were only a few days, others a couple of weeks.
One time time it took three weeks or more (went 4 weeks from I sent it till I got it back).

I think you should expect 10 days or so on avg... depending on how busy they are repairing and transport.

You can buy quick rep. etc in case you're very dependant on your comp (not sure about Australia though).

I hadn't bought quick rep. btw
