    Hey guys!

I have a pretty serious issue with my Tiny G900 (I think it's the same as the ECS 900) laptop. The fan is only ever off when it is turned on from cold, but it comes on after a couple of minutes and never turns off!! I'm not sure whether it's the graphics card fan, the processor fan or both but it's pretty loud whatever it is. If it used on anything other than a flat hard surface then it overheats and cuts out.

Surely this can't be normal, can it?

    Please help!

I've heard of this problem with these and its usually the graphics card that seems to be doing it. The support/service for these is pretty terrible also I hear. Try using a tool like speedfan to monitor heat and control the fans. Best of luck!

Thanks for the help, but surely such a program won't be able to cause the graphics card to run quieter?? I mean the fan seems to be on for the purpose of stopping the graphics card from overheating, it doesn't seem to be coming on for no reason.

However, it may help so i'll give it a go and see.

    Thanks again!

True you won't be able to fix the problem with the software but it will let you know how hot things are running and how fast your fans are running and allow you to mess with things a bit.
