    Hello,
Some time this week i will be ordering my new zepto 6625wd WOO! i am just going back over my specs and generally wasting time researching things and i have heared some not so good reviews on intels turbo memory 1gb, i was originally undecided wether to get the robson chip or a tv tuner.

I am going for 4gig of memory on board so is it even worth it?

also.. if i was to get the tv tuner card instead could anyone reccomend a memory card that could be used in the memory place (MMC/SD Slot)? i generally dont use memory cards as my camera links to the usb.

tbh im new to all this "use memory cards as ram etc" or whatever it does.

    Thanks

    P

the vista readyboost can use usb sticks and memorycards as virtual ram (not ram, its not fast enough) where it saves files used repetitive. The turbo memory isnt that good right now as the drivers isnt so developed so you cant use them as intel had in mind just yet
but if u have spare money take it :D the tuner card is supposed to be able to aftermarket install it (zepto officials?)
make shure you have vista64bit for the 4gigs

I think that Turbo Memory's boost to performance is subjective and difficult to measure, but it helps to stretch battery time. Read Anandtech's analysis.

Unless you are very close to a TV transmitter, you will need to connect your notebook to an external TV antenna, in which case you have the option of using a USB tuner.

If you are in UK, play.com offers a good choice of SD cards. The Sandisk Extreme III has reasonably good performance.
