    Sorry for the urgency but i have a compal ifl90 with vista pre-installed and when i try to boot up from win xp cd, the istallation program tells me that it doesn't recognize any hard drives... Do you have a solution for these?

    Ay! there was a problem with this earlier, here it is. They didn't find a solution however.

    Try disabling "AHCI" in the BIOS and the installation should go through. Japnux said he got xp to install by disabling something in the BIOS but he didnt elaborate and it was mention another post that disabling "AHCI" would allow the installing to go through so...
