    Hello Quubik,

Could you give us some details about what model notebook you have and what operating system you are running? You might also want to post the make and model of the Mouse.

Has this happened as long as you've had the system, or did this just start happening? Do you have any other USB devices you could test with to see if they also stop working?

You might try unplugging the mouse, then removing the USB root hubs and controllers from Device Manager and then let Windows redetect them after a restart. It can't hurt anything and might actually help. If that doesn't do it, my next question would be did you install the OS yourself, and if so did you remember to install the chipset driver first?

Quubik, maybe you should check your driver for USB devices. It may not be working correctly. There are two ways to check this, the first is typing DxDiag into your windows search bar. The second is to go into the control panel and check there for any driver errors.

Even if the new mouse isn't having the problem I still think it is a software issue as opposed to a hardware. Unless you were using a Logitech mouse.
