Configuring this laptop, thinking about buying... and I am wondering... LV2400 or T2400? Don't have a doubt performance-wise, but how much less battery life [edit: and how much more heat] would I get with the T2400?

Ivan, have you guys run any battery life tests yet? (if you did and were already posted somewhere, I apologize). :)

i think that the battery time gain with the L2400 would be substantial. It is after all, a much lower power processor, being rated at 15 watts TDP. Therefore, it shouldn't produce a large amount of heat either.

Performance wise, the L2400 runs at 1.66 Ghz, and the T2400 at 1.83 Mhz. The difference is small, and won't be noticible on a laptop. I think that if battery life the your main concern, go with the L2400.

That makes a lot of sense.
