    Ubuntu on 6224W - GRUB problems

    Hi all,

    Has anyone managed to install Ubuntu 7.10 on their 6224W or other Zepto?

    On mine, the installation finishes fine, and then it attempts to install GRUB, which fails.

    I have tried later to restart and install it manually but without success.

    Did anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it? Failing that, perhaps there is a GRUB (or LILO?) boot CD around that I can try out?

    I have Ubuntu 7.10 on my 6024W, and it works completely except for the sound, but im working on that one.

    I have had seveal problem getting Linux in it, but when I finely got Ubuntu prober installed it work fine and dandy.

    I have found a Swedish HOWTO on 6224W and Ubuntu, but unless you can read Scandinavian its probably no good to you ( http://www.ubuntu-se.org/drupal/node/345).
    Instead you should try the Ubuntu forums, they can help out a ton!

    if you search my threads on ubuntuforums or on here , you will find the fixes to the sound card issue. I have it on my 6625WD without issues now, may not be the same sound card as yours though
