I haven't seen/heard anything from them on the notebook front. Any news? Are they retreating? Perhaps thats a good idea. . .

They continue to play a bit role in a number of industries, notebooks being one. I think they're still here because they think they need to be for brand coverage. The 3D screen gimmick isn't working, neither is much else.

Hi guys,
Frankly, I didn't hear anything about them either since the ultraportable Actius MM20's US re-release, last March (the one with the new Transmeta's Efficeon TM8600 chip inside). At least this other novelty came to sort of mend up Sharp's image after the Actius RD3D's fiasco. By the way, as the entirely satisfied owner of an Actius RD20 I've been trying to find out Sharp notebooks OEM (or ODM) copany name. Just curious. Any idea? Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

I purchased my actius al27 about a week ago. I'm very happy with the performance thus far. If your looking for a laptop to do business with "not game" then this is a great one.
Um, is Sharp still in the laptop business?
