In all honesty, I have no idea, but I do not believe so. There's always a slight possibility, but you would need a "trainable" remote control and a remote already compatible with the TV Tuner so that you could "train" the buttons on the universal remote to match the buttons on the TV Tuner's remote.

What it strikes me the most is that we have so many NBR members with the TV tuner and none of them can try an universal control remote!!!!! Everyone has a TV, right?

    Yeah..i know :)
I have noticed several features of 2090 & 2092 that are treated like military secrets e.g. reprogramming touch sensitive buttons & activating the IR with another remote.

The only issue is that IR receivers use different codes to do stuff. So someone would have to figure out what series of codes the compal remote sends to the laptop and if there is a universal remote that would mimic that. That's why you have to program a universal remote to function with your tv and what not.

I don't know why people like to complicate their existence. What about to simply try one universal control remote????? and see if works, eh!!!!

My only concern is what program on the universal remote would you try? I mean each universal remote will do 100s of different codes, the wrong code will do nothing. I'd try it, but I don't have a universal remote.
