Hi all,
I'd like to know, from people who have one or know about one of these laptop, what is the temperature of the CPU? Is it hot for the hands?
Where could I buy it?
Thanks,
Blacko

Actually, you can't monitor the CPU temp with software yet anyway... but you can buy one from Cyberpower, Inc, where I got mine.[

Battalion [AMD] (Uniwill 258KA5) Athlon-64 3400+ CPU, 1024MB DDR-400 PC-3200, 60 GB 5400rpm ATA, 128MB ATI Radeon 9700 Pro -
has anyone figured out how to get a 7200rpm hard drive to work in these without it locking up all the time due to the excessive heat? a 5400 seems to work fine, but as soon as the 7200 is forced under load it locks up until its left sitting off for awhile while it cools down. is there a newer bios out there from one of the other vendors, as uniwill doesnt seem to have the best drivers/bios.

Hey there. I have this model the 258KAO.
The laptop is great.
1. Bat life sucks, why? It has a freakin HEATSYNCH onboard, this means when you install the CPU you see the actual freakin Air Conditioner, copper pipe, radiator, it's there. The air coming out into your lap is fridgid!
In terms of power, go no further, I installed AMD 3700+ with 1gb ram, killer, no complaints.
The Radeon 9700 is badass.
Warnings: To conserve bat life AMD and Radeon have software that will limit potential, I uninstalled the AMD Powernow thing only because caused music and movies to skip when unpplugged.
Radeon has PowerPlay, but this is less important, does cause some delay (opening start menu, fe)
bat life is 1 hour or more
