They make notebooks fo many different manufacturers. Alot of Alienware notebooks and Fujitsu Siemens ones are built by them. I think there are also a few other notebook manufacturers, they supply their models too as well.

So they are a well know manufacturer which produces very quality laptops?

or they only make some "value" models that and are not known for quality?

Uniwill used to be popular among resellers but the rumor was that they lost popularity due to difficulties of getting spares and support after a model is discontinued, where as Asus, MSI, and Compal ODMs are relatively easier to deal with, which is why you see most whitebooks today, being one of the three.

However like stated above, the biggest Uniwill user is Alienware. The pricing on Uniwills are nice, but I've seen a number of cracked hinges forming after a year.

im writing on a Uniwill 259EN3 right now, ive had it for about a year now, its a great laptop, pentium M 2ghz, it can switch between intel graphics or nvidia geforce 6600. the lcd is perfect and not one dead pixel. the only problem ive had with it is that the lcd inverter went out, so basically the screen backlights blew a fuse, but it was replaced about 5 months ago, but other than that its been fine. i did a review about it on this site, search for battalion 101 turbo.

although i don't see any of their models at this point in time competing with an asus, or hp, toshiba.
