However, i am wary due to complaints concerning both overheating and coustomer services. Is the heat problem only with high spec new games? The ones i am looking to play are a couple of years old e.g. C&C generals, so could i still have a problem here? Also, at present, what is the customer service like in general as the complaints people have written on this forum do not look promising... (from the UK)

The service in the UK does not have the best track record. At least not if you read this forum.

The problems with heat shouldnt be a problem if they put the machine together like it should. Then it will get hot, but not crash.
Im thinking that this model is pushed to the limit of how much heat it can handle, so if there is the slightest problem with heatpipes ect. you will run into trouble.

    Cheers
