When I plug out the cable my whole system freezes.
When I plug it back it it continues as normal.
When I quickly do out-in-out it doesn't freeze.
Weirdest error I've ever had in my 12 years of computer experience.
Don't know when it started.

What OS do you have?
-
Anyway...could you take a look in eventvwr (start --> run --> eventvwr) to see if there are some critical errors at the specific time you remove the cable?
-
Windows XP. Nothing in the event list. It seems like a complete time freeze.

Many Gigabit Ethernet controllers have this issue.
If you configure your ethernet driver to work at 10 or 100 mbps from the device manager settings, the problem will disappear.
Use 1000 mbps feature only in a network that supports it, otherwise the network adapter will try to establish a connection at 1000 mbps on a network with slower connection, so the freezing problem will appear. -
Edit: it is indeed fixed, thanks again. -
Woah, thats odd. I'd reinstall the ethernet card drivers from your CD. If that doesn't work boot up a linux live CD and see if it works then. If it works fine under linux then its a windows error. If not, it might be a electrical short or some other hardware issue that may need RMA'ing
EDIT: others beat me to it...
Very weird HEL80 Ethernet related error
