First I want to say thanks to everyone using the forums, your comments have been incredibly helpful in my decision to get an HGL30.

So I know that in principle Vista should work on an HGL30, but have any of you owners out there actually installed Vista and know whether there are any issues with drivers and so forth? The reason I'm looking at Vista is that I have to buy some new Windows OS (mainly for the games) for this laptop, I'm willing to accept the bugs, and would rather not buy XP now that's it's a last-generation product.

XP may be a last-generation OS.. but at least it's stable for the most part.

Vista is cool and all... but way to buggy at the moment. I'd wait till they release version 2 or 3 or 15.. lol.

Same, I installed Vista Busienss on my dv8000t, no problems at all. All drivers are accounted for, and yes Xp drivers work for the time being if their isnt a vista driver available.
