how is vista only $120 at powernotebooks.com where on bestbuy.com it retails for over $200? does compal ship the vista discs with the computer to reinstall if needed? also, is the $50 for arctic silver worth it? im looking at an IFL90. thank, you.

Powernotebooks will be selling you an OEM version, not a retail version. They do ship you a copy of the OS for re installations. The $50 for Arctic Silver is worth it in my opinion, but I strongly suggest you give them a call and ask about ongoing specials.

They can also answer any of your questions at the same time.

The OEM version is for that notebook only, where as the 200 dollar retail version is a standalone product, like any other software you would buy. The other difference is the OEM is either 32 or 64 bit, if you buy the full version you get both 32 and 64 versions, although I dont know what the value of 64 bit is at this point in time. :)

Edit - I have used arctic silver on desktops and it makes a noticeable difference in temperatures, so I think it is worth having, but definitely call powernotebooks and ask about any ongoing deals before ordering.
