Alright, so I just reformatted my HEL80 notebook and install Vista Ultimate. Now there seems to be an issue with sleep mode. My laptop goes into sleep mode fine, the power light blinks showing it is in sleep mode.

When I go to turn it back on, the power light stays a steady green but my laptop doesn't make and noise and the screen stays black until I manually power-off and reboot. This is very annoying. It happens every time too, not just every few times. I downloaded a hotfix for the Intel 945GM (which I think is in the HEL80)[ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929909] that was for a similar issue but it didn't fix mine.

Anyone else know what I can try?

    Try upgrading the Video drivers.

    Are all your drivers updated?

It could be just a vista issue that a reinstall might fix.

Also you could try a BIOS update but if done incorrectly it could cause your lappy to not work so consider a BIOS update to be your last resort.

There seem to be some patches at the Microsoft.com all for fixing the vista sleeping issue.
