So first thing I noticed when I started using this thing is how the scrolling was so jerky. Coming from a MBP this was pretty bad. So I did some tweaking and heres what helped me get some smoother scrolling.
Firstly, make sure drivers are the new ones. Download them from the vizio site.
Now, for some reason the inverted scrolling it comes with default doesnt appear as smooth. Maybe its just an illusion but if that bothers you here's how to turn it off:
1. Hit Windows + X
2. click Control Panel
3. Hardware and Sound
4. under Synaptics ClickPad (the last one for me) hit settings
5. Under the Scrolling menu disable the check balook for reverse scroll
6. I also found that turning down speed under Pinch Zoom menu helped smoothen zooms out a bit, or at least makes it more accurate instead of jumping 50% zoom per pinch (exaggerating)![]()
Now for Verticle and Horizontal scrolling I adjusted these:
Steps 1 and 2 from above.
3. under Devices and Printers hit Mouse
4. Under the mouse menu go to Wheel
5. I have my Vertical Scroll at 3 and Horizontal at 1 (2 also works good-faster- but still bit jumpy, I just like things to look very smooth)
You should now find things to be sligtly smoother especially browsing. Some things like Start screen and Office 2013 will be smoother than other apps ( why Microsoft has not made these GPU enhancements universal in all apps and throughout OS is beyond me)
Anyways hope this tutorial helps. If anyone has any better suggestions please post them.
